About Study the Bible Study the Bible is composed of four lines (or subjects) -- Truth, Life, Gospel, and Church. This can be likened to a balanced meal with a number of dishes. We hope that this will enhance your experience of studying the Bible. The course is designed for senior highschool students and young people, so adults will be able to study the course as well. If English is your second language, you may need to spend more time studying the lessons. Each lesson should take around three hours to complete. If you use 30 minutes per day six days per week, you will finish four lessons per month (one from each line). Each line has 30 lessons, so if you study just 30 minutes per day you will complete the course in 30 months. While this is the length of time we expect each lesson to take it is completely up to you how quickly you do each lesson and how quickly you progress through the course. Each lesson has three parts: study, assessment, and activities. Most of the study material is found in books that you will need to obtain if you do not already have. The assessment is all provided and automatically marked online. This enables a quick response so that you can move through the course at your own pace. Some of the activities ask you to report on some aspect of the activity so that we can see how you are doing in the course. Our course textbook is the Bible, the world's best-seller. We will use several other books to assist our study. If you do not have the books already you will need to obtain them somehow. These are some suggestions:
Many of the books used in the course will also be used in the Full-Time Training or in the Summer School of Truth for highschoolers. The course is provided for free. The only cost will be the price of the books if they are not already available to you. |
